Integrated Music back at Oakland International for 12 day music program.

Integrated Music is back at Oakland International High School.  Thanks to all of your support, last year’s program was so successful OIHS has requested Integrated Music to lead another great music intensive program.  27 students from all over the world learning about music, music theory, instrumental performance, group playing and lots of exposure to live performances.  These wonderful students will be immersed in music for 7 hours a day, every day for 12 days straight.  We still need funds to make this project as successful as last years.  Please click our Donation button to help change these students’ lives.

Integrated Music recently had the opportunity to meet and support the creators of NMC (link).  This is a  wonderful  music non-profit started in San Fransisco which has been able to affect the lives of many in need through the implementation of music.

Integrated Music advances to round 2 of Mcloskey competition.

Each year Notre Dame sponsors a competition for start-up organizations including a category for organizations promoting social change.  Integrated music entered and has now advanced to the next round in this competition with over 120 start-ups from around the country.  Integrated Music is in the running for the Klau Family prize of greatest social impact.

Integrated Music helps refugees.

Through Refugee Transitions (link) in Oakland, CA, Rachel Goodloomis of Integrated Music works with a small group of Burmese and Nepalese refugees every Tuesday and Thursday.  Working at the Oakland International High School campus, Rachel brings Integrated Music techniques and curriculum, incorporating song writing, poetry and group song learning to provide an enhanced learning experience.

Integrated Music brings their tools and techniques to multiple subjects and students of all grade levels through substitute teaching assignments.  Ever expanding and refining their techniques, daily interaction with students allows for Integrated Music to quantify results over a large sample and solidify those most effective.
